The Housekeeping Supervisor at Britannia Hotels plays a key role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction across all accommodation and public areas. Working closely with the Head Housekeeper and housekeeping team, the supervisor helps maintain smooth daily operations while upholding Britannia Hotels’ commitment to comfort, quality, and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise housekeeping staff during daily operations, ensuring rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to company standards.
Allocate daily tasks, manage staff rotas, and monitor workflow to ensure efficient completion of duties.
Conduct inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public spaces, addressing any issues promptly.
Train, mentor, and support new and existing housekeeping team members.
Assist with stock control, including ordering, receiving, and distributing cleaning supplies and linen.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including COSHH procedures.
Respond to guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related issues professionally and promptly.
Report maintenance issues to relevant departments and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
Support the Head Housekeeper with administrative tasks, record-keeping, and team communication.
Promote a positive, motivated, and cooperative working environment.

Strong leadership and team coordination skills

Good communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of cleaning standards, products, and equipment
A proactive, hands-on approach
Experience
Previous experience in housekeeping within a hotel environment is usually required.
Supervisory experience is preferred but not always essential, depending on the hotel’s needs.
