Korean Cultural Centre of Embassy of the Republic of Korea is organising Essay Writing Competition named “All India 5th Korea-India Friendship Essay Competition 2017” for students of 7th to 12th class. Please note that Korea here means Republic of Korea also popularly known as South Korea.
Students can send multiple individual entries also. KCCI has made it completely Free of Charge.
This Essay Writing Competition is planned to be non-intrusive, less time consuming, yet interesting. Details are as follows:
Activity: Students write the essay.
Prizes:
-Participation Certificates for all participants
-Free Trip to South Korea for Top 3 Winners
-Cash Prizes of Rs 1, 19, 000
-Trophies to the Schools of the First three winners
There is No Participation Fee of any kind for students or for school during any stage of the activity. Please refer to the additional documentation enclosed for details.
Activity Details with Terms and Conditions
Activity Format:
This essay writing competition is divided into two groups - Junior Group and Senior Group.
Students from Class 7 to 9 will participate in Junior
Students from Class 10 to 12 will participate in Senior
Activity:
Students write the essay and send it.
Last Date: 08 Aug 2017 before 12:00 midnight (24:00)

Topic of Essay:
Junior Group “What I like about South Korea” in 150 to 300 words in English only.
Senior Group “Why I want to visit South Korea” in 300 to 500 words in English only.
Terms and Conditions:
-Essay must be Handwritten or typed in English
-Send paper or via email before 12:00 midnight (24:00)on 08 Aug 2017
-Decision of judges will be final& no review request will be entertained
-Contest is open ONLY to Indian Students residing in India
Travel will be paid to winners for participation in Award Ceremony in Delhi by shortest route as per the following:
-Travel paid for top 3 winners. Only for Winners outside Delhi NCR
-Maximum Rs 10, 000 for Air Fare on presenting the actual ticket
-Maximum Rs 5, 000 for Train Fare on presenting the actual ticket
-Korea means Republic of Korea also popularly known as South Korea
-Entries are property of organizers and are non-returnable
-No Participation Fee or any other Fee at any stage
-Prizes are NOT encashable and NOT transferable
-Travel to Korea will be subject to Government procedures
-Free Trip to Korea for winners will be of maximum6 Days / 5 Nights?
